As well as a core collection of M&S classics (think immaculately cut tailoring, suitcase staples and amazing accessories), the SS13 collection is really driven by high fashion and a variety of catwalk trends. Mono Pop encapsulates geometric patterns, monochrome combinations and a super sophisticated edge and Print Fusion is all about making a bold statement with oriental style prints, vibrant colours and statement accessories. Dolls House (my favourite collection) encompasses a vintage inspired silhouette, a cross-section of lady like details and an abundance of sweet shop shades. Urban Utility offers a classic slice of style, texture and elegance, all dressed up alongside a rich colour palette focusing on mustard yellows, deep forest greens and sunset-inspired ambers, and Modern Luxe is the perfect take on effortless chic. In addition to the womenswear collection, the lingerie for SS13 is another sure-fire hit. As well as another collaboration with the gorgeous Rosie Huntington Whiteley, M&S have invested in a range of new garment technology, creating a collection of 'light as air' and body sculpting pieces which are destined to become best sellers. Other highlights include a range of vintage inspired longer-line bra sets and re-imagined shapewear, as well as a trend inspired neon collection. I'll definitely be at the front of the queue to snap up the SS13 collections when they arrive in store next year!
Do you like the look of the M&S SS13 collection? And are you looking forward to spring as much as I am?
