As far as lipsticks go, I've
always been a bit of a commitment phobe. Since getting a lovely red number from YSL from my blogging buddies last
birthday I've gradually been becoming more and more experimental with my
maquillage, picking up a few bolder lip shades from Rimmel and happily wearing
them out and about- that is until it's time to eat, drink or generally be
merry. Now, as far as makeup is concerned, I'm relatively low maintenance-
rarely fixing my face throughout the day (generally because I'm too lazy!), but
the whole problem of bleeding lipstick after a cup of tea or two is one which
has proved something of a dilemma. No-one wants to walk around looking like
they've had a make up masterclass from The Joker, and I find reapplying
lipstick on the move a real nightmare (let's just say that 'keeping in the
lines' has never been my forte!) However, in the midst of this cosmetic conundrum,
I've discovered a real hero product which has become something of an essential
since I picked it up last week:

Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine range has long been the subject of many a beauty hall
window shop, but up until recently I'd only invested in one of their lipsticks. However,
after nipping in to their Covent Garden store last
weekend, I finally took the plunge and doubled my collection with the purchase
of shade 88- Espirit, from the AW13 drop. A wonderfully subtle red with just a hint of burgundy, it gives amazing colour payoff
with comparatively little product and isn't at all drying- unlike some of the
other more pigmented shades in my collection. The sheer finish also means it's
really moisturising and stands up fantastically to everyday wear- whether
you're sipping a brew at breakfast or tucking into a sandwich at lunchtime. I
think that this shade may well be an all-time favourite and can't wait to use
it more as autumn continues.
Have you tried any of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks?
