25.06.2015- On the Menu: Crumbs & Doilies, Soho

There's no doubt that one of the best things about being within easy reach of any big city is the opportunity to explore lots of new things, whether they be undiscovered gems away from the tourist trail, unusual experiences or newly opened dining destinations. Although I've got some tried and tested London favourites, it's always lovely to have an excuse to try somewhere new for the first time, so when I caught up with Hannah at the end of last week we made an impromptu trip to one of Central London's newly opened bakeries for some seriously indulgent Friday food at Crumbs & Doilies:

Situated just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of Carnaby Street, Crumbs & Doilies is a small but perfectly formed treasure. Serving up a different selection of freshly baked cupcakes every day, it's the perfect pitstop to head to if you're taking a well deserved tea break, or if you find that your sweet tooth has gotten the better of you at the end of the day. With a really diverse menu there's something to please everyone on offer, and the option of mixing things up with mini cupcakes is a great one too- particularly if you're torn between flavours. I opted for the Salted Caramel cupcake, and suffice it to say that I'm already planning a return visit to stock up on some more!
