14.09.2015- Fashion Week Favourites

With London Fashion Week kicking off at the end of this week, I'm sure I'm not the only one looking forward to seeing what next season has in store in the style stakes, and, as ever, I'm eagerly anticipating the presentations of some of my favourites- especially as London always tends to have plenty of sartorial surprises in the planning as well! Whether you're going to be glued to some LFW live streams or taking inspiration from the plethora of street style coverage,  the arrival of Fashion Week also presents the perfect opportunity to support some brilliant, British based talent- and with a distinct back to school sense in the air, it's also a great way to stake out some new season investment pieces too:

Booya Sweatshirt, £160, House of Holland/Evendale Tunic Dress, £195, Topshop Unique/Grey Overcoat, £129, M&S/Giles/Edition Monochrome Dress, £70, Debenhams/Orla Audrey Shoes, £160, Clarks/Swarovski Crystal Earrings, £50, Reiss/Lizard Effect Leather Wristlet, £60, Whistles/Vintage Style Tan Backpack, £120, The Whitepepper

As a brand, House of Holland has become instantly synonymous with London Fashion Week, and with designs which are full of colour and character, it's easy to see why it's such a favourite. This vivid blue sweatshirt is wonderfully cheeky, and the pop of colour makes it a brilliant statement piece too. Topshop is always a LFW stalwart, and their Unique presentations are always well worth catching, particularly as each collection is available to snap up in store too. This gorgeous printed dress isn't an obvious choice for autumn, but it's a really refreshing change and the print is perfect if you (like me!) are still desperately clinging on to the last moments of summer! Over the last few years, M&S have seriously upped their fashion game, and for AW15 they've got a rather stunning crop of coats tucked away up their (impeccably tailored!) sleeves. This grey design is a real investment piece, and the timeless shape means that it'll prove a wardrobe favourite season after season.

Giles Deacon's presentations are always a highlight of LFW, and I always love the sheer spectacle which they encompass. Thanks to his recently launched collaboration with Debenhams, it's never been easier to tap into his signature aesthetic, and this monochrome midi dress is a brilliantly stylish investment piece- and one which has endless styling potential too, don't you think?  For fashion adventurers, Orla Kiely's immersive presentations are always a must- and the safari trip from two years ago still stands out as a real favourite for me. If you want to inject some of her signature style into your new season wardrobe, then look no further than her latest collaboration with Clarks- these boots are well and truly on my wishlist! In terms of accessories, these beautifully simple earrings from Reiss are another investment purchase in waiting, as is this autumnal clutch from Whistles- perfect for keeping all of your essentials stashed away safely! Finally, regular readers will be well aware that I'm a huge fan of the humble backpack, and this vintage inspired style from The Whitepepper is waiting in my shopping basket as I type...dreamy or what?!

Are you treating yourself to any new season pieces?
