There are few things in life more luxurious than treating yourself to a new perfume, and over the festive season I was lucky enough to become acquainted with a modern classic in the shape of Chanel's Chance. A lovely Christmas surprise, the Eau de Toilette is perfectly practical, and a wonderfully welcome addition to my flock of fragrances:

Not only is the round bottle a lovely dressing table decoration, it's a great everyday option too- and wonderfully long lasting. Fresh and floral, with notes of jasmine, pink pepper and amber patchouli, it's light but warm and instantly recognisable- a reassuring old friend if you like! The hints of pepper and spice add a really hearty feel too- wonderfully comforting for this time of the year- and the floral notes evoke a springtime sensibility- much anticipated after the week of wild weather we've had!
Have you tried any new fragrances recently?
