22.12.2017- Most Wanted: Intergalactic Style Inspiration

There's no escaping the fact that things tend to turn a little bit starry at this time of the year, whether it's across your Christmas decorations, on cards and across all of your other festive favourites. Needless to say, I'm steadily counting down the minutes until I can pop my out of office on (so, so close!), and over the next week or so I'm really looking forward to what I hope will be some much needed rest and relaxation time after a completely topsy-turvy year. At the top of my Christmas holiday to-do list is tomorrow's trip to the cinema to catch The Last Jedi- the source of yet more suitably starry sartorial inspiration:

Constellation Sweatshirt, £75, Whistles/Origami Star Tuck Neck Blouse, £18, Topshop/Blossom Scatter Dress, £75, Hush (via John Lewis)/Star Constellation Trousers, £75, Whistles (via John Lewis)/Crescent Moon Necklace, £17, & Other Stories/Lace Up Star Trainers, £29.50, Marks and Spencer/Missoma Cocktail Ring, £55, John Lewis/Star Ankle Boots, £125, & Other Stories

There's something about a classic star print which never seems to go out of style, isn't there? Whilst this little selection might be infinitely more practical than a billowing Kylo-Ren style cape, it's still a suitably stylish affair, with dark block colours providing a contrast for lots of lovely prints. This sweatshirt from Whistles is a great steal from their end of season sale, and is a brilliant cosy option if you're after a failsafe for Chrimbo-limbo. For something more attuned to eveningwear, another sale steal from Topshop in the shape of this blouse- ideal for teaming with a trouser suit if you've got plans for New Year's Eve. Similarly, if you're on the lookout for a piece which lends itself to both daytime and evening styling, this Hush dress is a perfect pick.

These trousers from Whistles are another fabulous sale find, and would segue seamlessly into a new season wardrobe too. If something a little bit more understated is your bag, then & Other Stories have a lovely selection of accessories in at the moment (don't they always..!), including this crescent moon necklace, which I think would be great layered over a top-to-toe black look. For something slightly more casual, look no further than these trainers from Marks and Spencer- still just glitzy enough to be season appropriate! A real classic for your jewellery box, Missoma's star cocktail ring is a definite investment- and a lovely gift too if you've still got some last minute shopping to pick up before Monday. Finally, these statement star boots from & Other Stories- which whilst they might not be all that practical for fleeing from the First Order- are still an amazing festive find!

What are your plans for the holidays?
