10.04.2019- On the Menu: Redemption Roasters, Lamb's Conduit Street

Wednesday, 10 April 2019

It's been more than a little while since my last foodie themed post on these pages, but, if I'm being brutally honest, things have been so busy over recent weeks that I haven't really had all that much time to divert from the norm in terms of go-to eats. Having said that, last week, Hannah and I met up for lunch and explored a new corner of Bloomsbury- Lamb's Conduit Street. In the almost three years that we've been arranging our weekly catch ups, we'd never explored this picturesque corner of London- or any of the amazing shops and eateries situating along its streets. As an introduction to the area, we opted to head to Redemption Roasters:

With a queue snaking back to the door, we knew we were on to a good thing from the get go, and it was lovely to have a break from the norm. At the time we arrived, most of the food had already been snapped up, so we ended up sharing a toasted sandwich (mozzarella, tomato and basil) and a slice of cake (chocolate, of course), along with a hot chocolate for me. All were absolutely delicious, and gave us the perfect opportunity to have a leisurely catch up in some wonderfully light and airy surroundings. The great thing about Redemption Roasters too is that they support and work with young offenders, with roasteries and barista training centres across the country, fulfilling a crucial role in helping people to get back on their feet and reducing rates of reoffending at the same time. Definitely worth a visit for that reason alone.

Have you visited any new foodie favourites recently?
