I feel like I’m always a bit of a broken record when I talk about how I tend to prefer packing practical essentials in my suitcase for when I go away, but it’s a formula which has really worked over the last few years, meaning I only pack what I really need to take- pieces which I’m comfortable in! My recent trip to Dubrovnik was a lovely mix of relaxing activities and some active exploring, so I made sure to stash a selection of staples which I knew I could adapt to all sorts of different situations:

Top- & Other Stories
Sunglasses- & Other Stories
Trousers- lululemon
Shoes- New Balance
I’ve had this top from & Other Stories in my wardrobe for about five years or so now, and it’s a perennial favourite which I always reach for when the weather gets warm. It was perfect for the warm days in Dubrovnik, and here I managed to co-ordinate perfectly with my surroundings- the beautiful uninhabited island of Lokrum, which stands out of one of the highlights of the trip. I know I’ve waxed lyrical about these lululemon trousers for what feels like forever, but they really are the perfect essential for everyday, and work wonderfully as part of a travel wardrobe too- as idea for city breaks as they are for active expeditions.
Have you mastered the art of the capsule wardrobe for your holidays?
