22.04.2020- John Lewis & Partners + Mother of Pearl

Wednesday, 22 April 2020

Ever since I heard about John Lewis collaborating with Mother of Pearl on a capsule collection last month, I've had the launch date earmarked in my diary. Whilst the world might have changed hugely since I first read about the collection, it arrives officially today, and is one well worth exploring if you've had a huge wardrobe sort out and are in the market for some new long-lasting essentials, or if you simply want to treat yourself to something nice arriving at home to break up the days of being indoors. One of the most appealing aspects of this collaboration (as well as the understated simplicity of each of the pieces), is that all of the designs have been manufactured whilst maintaining Mother of Pearl's commitment to sustainability, with fabric sourcing and sampling delivered through the most sustainable route possible:

The most sustainable collection which John Lewis have ever created, each product is made using either TENCEL™ or 100% organic cotton, and the development of the range has also focused heavily on reducing water and energy use as well as pollution throughout the manufacturing process. I've been a big fan of Mother of Pearl and their commitment to sustainability for a while now so couldn't be more pleased that they are sharing some of their design magic and eco-awareness with John Lewis. The collection is available online from today, with prices starting at £59. I think I'll treat myself to a shirt to wear out and about once lockdown is lifted!
