26.08.2020- What I Wore Today #428

Whilst it's only a matter of weeks ago that we were in the midst of a heatwave, there are definitely some early signs of autumn in the air at the moment. As I type this, leaves are sailing through the sky to the ground, and the first blackberries of the season are appearing in the bramble bushes; I'm not quite sure if I'm ready for autumn and the inevitable crawl towards winter which it signifies, but this year is one which has been full of so many unpredictable events that I'm not even sure whether I can trust the seasons any more! Last week I treated myself (if you can call it that!) to a long overdue wardrobe sift, and have slightly streamlined my sartorial selection, as well as finding some of my favourites for chillier climes. Having said that, I'm definitely not ready to bid farewell to some of my summer staples just yet:

Shirt- Ganni (via My Theresa)
Trousers- COS
Sunglasses- c/o Oliver Bonas
Shoes- New Balance

This Ganni shirt was a real find in My Theresa's end of season sale, and is a piece which I'd had my eye on for a while. Reduced to half price, and with the combination of stripes and serious collar goals, I treated myself as I know it'll be a piece to treasure for years to come. Here I teamed it with some co-ordinating trousers from COS which have been brilliant during the all-sorts-of-weather summer we've been having- here's hoping that they'll have a few more outings before autumn begins proper.

Which pieces have you been reaching for recently?
