16.09.2020- What I Wore Today #430

As I touched upon in my last style shaped post, I'm not quite ready to wave goodbye to the summer just yet, so for the next few weeks I'll be sharing some snaps of the outfits I've been living in lately. As it happens, it seems that I'll be able to get a little bit more wear out of some of my summer favourites for a little while longer yet, and, as I think is the case for so many of us this year, comfort is the real barometer when it comes to deciding what to wear day to day:

Shirt- John Lewis
Trousers- Uniqlo
Sunglasses- Ray-Ban (c/o John Lewis)
Bag- Fjallraven
Shoes- Adidas

This combination is probably one of the most comfortable in my wardrobe, and perfect for the heatwave which we saw at the height of summer- linen is the way forward! This John Lewis shirt is the perfect staple piece, and has been a key component of my summer wardrobe for a year or so now. These linen trousers from Uniqlo are a new discovery and I honestly cannot recommend them enough- elasticated waist, wide legged and slightly oversized making them the perfect fuss-free option for warmer days- even if the backdrop isn't always as spectacular as this one!

Which summer essentials have you loved wearing this year?
