In spite of the daily nightmare of trying to get to and from London using Southern Rail's service (if you can call it that!), I've still managed to catch up on a little bit of culture over the last couple of weeks- most recently in the shape of the incredible Yerma at the Young Vic. Accompanied by Elodie and Hannah ahead of a weekend of birthday celebrations, we were keen to sit down to a proper meal before the performance, so headed to a new opening in Covent Garden, offering some rapidly-ready ramen which proved to be the perfect option:

For a post-work pitstop, you can't really fault Shoryu. Speedy service makes the world of difference, and here it was tip top- impressive considering it was a 50% off day to celebrate the recent opening of this branch in Covent Garden. I opted for the Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu, their signature pork broth with mushrooms, pork belly, egg, spring onion, seaweed and noodles- just delicious. In the interest of fairness, I also ordered a Shoryu bun- the perfect accompaniment to an altogether heavenly experience.
Have you tried any new dining destinations recently?

I sure wouldn't mind having this again. Nor would I mind seeing Yerma again actually. Haha!
