26.10.2016- London Loves: Golders Hill Park

Although London is a city with infinite things to do and more to see than you'd ever be able to possibly find time for, I'm sure I'm not the only one who is guilty of tending to visit the same places time and time again. It's pretty easy to get stuck in a routine in terms of the places you make a beeline for, especially in the centre of town, so at the weekend (armed with my new super shiny annual travel card!), I made the most of the glorious autumn weather to take in a road less travelled- all the way up to Golders Hill Park:

Just a short walk from Golders Green station, Golders Hill Park is something of a hidden gem. Blissfully quiet, it's home to a gorgeously designed rose garden, and feels sprawling without being too strenuous to meander around. Needless to say that the combination of a sunny day and leaves crunching under foot all added to the autumnal atmosphere, but above all it was lovely to be able to enjoy a leisurely stroll without having to worry about getting in anyone's way or battling the clock. As if that wasn't enough, it's also just a short walk away from Hampstead Heath- watch this space for a separate post all about that!

Have you discovered any new escapes recently?
