28.01.2019- Most Wanted: The New Season Edit

Whilst there's still a distinct chilly feel in the air, the promise of spring is there too- especially as I'm pleased to report that I've got some snowdrops growing in the garden! Hooray! Looking ahead to spring (my favourite season!), I'm really keen to invest sensibly in some pieces which can be styled more sustainably from season to season, as well as items which present excellent value on the cost-per-wear from too. Window shopping around, there's a lovely little crop of bits and pieces which I've got bookmarked:

Oversized Wool Blend Plaid Overshirt, £159, & Other Stories/Alda Pink Mug, £15, Oliver Bonas/Selma Sweatshirt, £150, Mother of Pearl/Kennedy Cross Body Bag, £39.50, Oliver Bonas/3D Bee Earrings, £45, Olivia Burton/Indigo Denim Jacket, £165, Toast/New Balance Fuelcore Running Trainer, £58, Free People/Botanical Signet Ring, £108, Free People/Mock Neck Sweater, £35, & Other Stories

This wool button up coat from & Other Stories is perfection- and a lovely lighter option for the warmer weather- as well as a piece which you could easily style for next autumn and winter too. I love the collar detail, and the plaid design gives it a lovely retro feel. A burst of spring colour comes from this mug from Oliver Bonas, which as well as being ideal for endless rounds of tea, also wins some serious decorative points thanks to the on-trend coral colours.

This sweatshirt from Mother of Pearl caught my eye at the start of the year, and it's a piece I regularly revisit to check on the price of! Part of their No Frills range, it really does do exactly what it says on the tin, and is one of those great pieces which is really easy to wear as well as being a fantastic investment buy. Regular readers will know that I'm a big fan of the cross-body bag, and this silver style from Oliver Bonas is brilliant for spring, and a great option if you're in the market for a new weekend bag, or indeed to take away on holiday- I'm sure it won't be long before I cave in and buy this one!

Thinking ahead to some forthcoming trips (I'm coming for you, Copenhagen!) this denim jacket from Toast is another really wonderful investment purchase, particularly as the slightly more relaxed shape lends itself really well to styling in lots of different iterations- I love the contrasting detail of the buttons too. Spring personified, these bee earrings from Olivia Burton are really cute too- and just dainty enough for everyday wear.

Over the last few weeks, I've really been struggling with finding comfortable, weatherproof shoes for everyday, but these New Balance trainers look like the perfect solution, especially as the reflective detail adds the perfect trendy touch. They're from Free People, as is this signet ring, and, having popped into their newly opened Covent Garden store last week, I'm well and truly sold! I can't wait to get a little bit more familiar with the brand, but this piece of jewellery is lovely- and for me lavender carries such fond memories- from visiting my local lavender farm to growing my own in the garden. I wonder if wearing it constantly would expedite the arrival of spring? Finally, this gorgeous blue knit from & Other Stories (where else?!) which is (oddly enough!) just the ticket for beating the January blues!

Have you got your eye on any new season styles?
