03.04.2019- Beauty Buys: The Burren Perfumery

It’s always lovely to discover fresh beauty brands, but even more rewarding when you stumble upon a new independent favourite. During my recent trip to Galway, and specifically on a visit to Ard Bia at Nimmos, I happened upon a handful of products from The Burren Perfumery. A family business, born in the heart of County Clare, the brand offers an array of handmade products inspired by the wild landscape of Ireland, and it will probably come as no surprise that I snapped up a handful of bits to bring home with me:

I’ve been using this Spring Harvest eau de toilette every day since I got back, and am well and truly converted. Not only is it a wonderfully fresh fragrance, but it perfectly captures the spirit of a spring day, with notes of fresh herbs including lemonbalm, mint and fennel combining to evoke a completely unique feel. It's also great for spritzing on first thing in the morning - a wonderful wake up for the start of the day. Another purchase comes in the shape of this Atlantic Coast bar soap, formulated with organic plant oils, and infused with lime, lavender and neroli. The fragrance is beautiful and really evokes the Wild Atlantic Way; I'm yet to bring myself to use it, so for the time being it's happily sitting on my dressing table- a lovely little reminder of a fantastic trip.

Have you discovered any new beauty brands recently?
