24.04.2019- What I Wore Today #368

As well as offering a wonderful reason to get out of the house and embrace outdoor living whilst the weather is good, the arrival of spring also affords a fantastic chance to spruce things up in the style stakes. As I type this, I'm preparing to have a good clearout of my wardrobe, and am really looking forward to downsizing a little bit, as well as making space for some new season styles which I'm very keen on investing in. As I've grown older, I'm much less tempted to spend my money on impulse purchases and instead am opting to treat myself to pieces which I know are built to last, and which I'll get plenty of wear out of from season to season. A current winning combination which I've been wearing more or less on a weekly basis comes in the shape of this duo from Whistles:

Jumper- Whistles
Jeans- Whistles
Bag- & Other Stories
Sunglasses- Ray Ban (c/o John Lewis)
Shoes- Adidas (via Spartoo)

How dreamy is this knit? Lemon has always been a real favourite hue of mine, and it's absolutely perfect for this time of the year. I love this jumper as it's super comfortable and also is really adaptable- working wonderfully styled with skirts, smart trousers or jeans. These jeans are another gem of a discovery from Whistles- the ideal staple for casual days and the weekend, and perhaps the most comfortable pair I've ever had in my wardrobe. Light wash denim isn't usually my go-to, but this barrel leg style is a real winner, and the high waisted fit is great too, and again makes them a wonderfully versatile option, and a definite investment well made.

What are your spring staples?
