08.07.2019- Beauty Buys: Aesop Additions

As the temperatures skyrocketed last weekend, I’m sure I’m not the only one who found myself struggling with keeping cool. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing as lovely as a bit of summer sunshine to boost the spirits, particularly after a June which was largely peppered with shower after shower, but trying to do anything when it’s topping thirty degrees outside makes for a pretty daunting prospect. As well as contending with public transport (the Tube at the height of summer is really not a place anyone wants to be!), my skin has been needing a fair bit of looking after of late too, especially after a little bit of travel and a lot of insect bites! Luckily, a combination which I picked up from Aesop recently has really been helping to combat all of my seasonal skincare gripes:

I’ve used this Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque a few times in the past, and it’s one of those products which I keep coming back to. The wonderfully gentle, clay-based formula is perfect for use once or twice a week, and is enriched with rosehip seed and evening primrose to cleanse without taking away any natural goodness from the skin. It’s great for cooling and soothing inflamed faces too, so is ideal for the warmer months, and especially if your skin is subject to more environmental aggravations at this time of the year than usual. Next up, a new addition to my skincare routine in the shape of the Immediate Moisture Facial Hydrosol, a mist infused with rose petal designed to refresh and boost tired skin in an instant. I’ve been using it a few times a day since I picked it up, and it’s brilliant for pepping things up on the go, if you’re travelling or sat at your desk. For bonus cooling and soothing points, it’s well worth stashing it in the fridge too, and with active ingredients including bergamot peel and chamomile, it’s one of those essential products which has become instantly indispensable.

Have you picked up any new summer skincare essentials?
