01.07.2019- What I Wore Today #375

When it comes to holiday dressing, I’m a big advocate for practical picks. Although I’ve been lucky enough to have a fair amount of short-haul breaks over the last couple of years, more or less all of them have been to destinations which have been quite off the beaten track, and which have involved a fair amount of walking and jumping in and out of the car. Added to that, the unpredictable nature of the weather when holidaying at home means it’s essential to pack with practicality in mind- and over recent years I’ve amalgamated the perfect selection of travel treasures:

Jacket- COS
T-Shirt- Whistles
Jeans- Whistles
Bag- Fjallraven (via ASOS)
Trainers- New Balance

This jacket from COS is a piece which I picked up just before my most recent trip to Northern Ireland and it’s an investment which was well and truly worth it. I reached for it more or less every day over the long weekend we spent along the Causeway Coast, and it’s the ideal investment for layering- both over knits and under waterproofs! Snapped here on the beautiful Portstewart Strand, I teamed it with my much-loved Whistles jeans and a tee from their recent collaboration with Trekstock- perfect for a comfortable weekend away, and a great selection of staples for combining with other pieces too.
