13.01.2020- What I Wore Today #398

Another slice of sunshine from Dubrovnik to beat away the January blues with this style shaped post! Over the last couple of years, I’ve become much better at packing light for trips away, investing in versatile staple essentials which work really well in various different iterations. Packing summer clothes for a trip away in the autumn felt a little bit incongruous, but it was actually really lovely to be able to get some more mileage out of some of my favourite warm weather pieces, and make the most of being away in the glorious sunshine rather than bundled up in coats and jumpers at home:

Shirt- John Lewis
Skirt- Oliver Bonas
Sunglasses- & Other Stories
Bag- Whistles

I picked this Oliver Bonas skirt up in their sale at the end of last summer, and it’s proven to be a really fantastic investment- particularly as it works really well for a winter wardrobe as well as for a summer one. I love the bold colours and the print, and it’s super comfortable too. It was the perfect addition to my suitcase for Dubrovnik, and here I teamed it with another staple in the shape of this shirt from John Lewis, which is a firm holiday favourite for me, and probably one of the best investment buys which I made last year. Hopefully I’ll be stashing it away in my suitcase for another trip again before too long!

What are your suitcase staples?
