04.01.2021- Most Wanted: Spring Styles

Aaaand, just like's the new year. Goodness me. I still can't get my head around the fact that 2020 has been and gone in what felt like the blink of an eye despite feeling like Groundhog Day. Again and again. As the new year kicks off in earnest, I'm sure that I'm not alone in feeling rather trepidatious about what the next few months have in store us all, especially as things now seem more uncertain than ever before. One thing I do know, however, is that spring will be here in only a matter of months- and I'm clinging on to that for comfort just at the moment- and hoping that it'll be the burst of joy we could all do with at the moment. The arrival of the new season also heralds a shift in styles too- even if I'm going to spend the next few months living in leggings, there's no harm in sharing a little wishlist for spring whilst we wait for it to arrive:

Relaxed Embroidery Blouse, £95, & Other Stories / Button Up Ruffle Blouse, £55, & Other Stories / Angie Dress, £245, Back by Sundown / Double Breasted Flounce Blouse, £15, Monki / Cotton Pyjamas in Blossom Cornflower, £145, Yolke Girl / Bee Huggie Earrings, £22, Oliver Bonas / Collared Wool Jumper, £89, Arket / Flower Band Ring, £85, Mikaela Lyons

This beautiful blouse from & Other Stories encapsulates the spirit of spring perfectly, and is a piece which wins serious eco-friendly points for being made out of recycled fabric too. I love the embroidery and timeless shape- definitely an investment well worth it. Similarly, this mint green blouse is another piece which would more than earn its keep in the cost-per-wear stakes- another firm favourite which is at the top of my wishlist.

Just before Christmas, I discovered the wonderful Back by Sundown through the South London Makers Market. I snapped up a gorgeous green dress with some of my birthday money, and now I've got this beautiful sister style firmly fixed on my radar- not least because of the beautiful shape and relaxed fit, as well as the incredible quality. Certainly a slow fashion staple which would well and truly stand the test of time. Next up, channelling some serious Bridgerton vibes with this lovely Monki blouse (in fact, this whole crop of goodies is a bit Bridgerton, don't you think?!)

It looks like, for the next few months at least, we'll be at liberty to Zoom in our pyjama bottoms, and I've definitely upped my pyjama game over the last few months, in some sort of consolation for being at home much more than I'd ever anticipated. This pair from Yolke girl have been on my wishlist for a little while now, are are perhaps some of the prettiest pjs I've ever seen. I love these buzzy Oliver Bonas earrings too- yet another much needed reminder that spring will be here soon.

This Arket knit is another brilliant investment in prospect, and again is one of those staple style which would lend itself wonderfully to so many different styling options, whether layered over a dress, with a skirt or teamed with jeans. Finally, this gorgeous floral ring from Mikaela Lyons, a piece which I'm determined to save up for over the next few months.

Have you got your eye on any new season essentials?
