06.01.2021- What I Wore Today #445

January, January, what can I say about you that I haven't said in some series of semantics over the last eleven or so years...(no, I can't quite believe that I've been posting on these pages for that long either..!) There's no doubt that the start of the year always feels like an uphill struggle, but this year I don't doubt that it'll be more of a slog than many of us have been used to, particularly with things still so uncertain and scary. But, as I've posted about before, I have to try and keep on the positive side of the tracks as much as possible and anticipate that things will get better eventually. Until then, I'm concentrating on the things which I can control- washing hands, covering face, making space- and channelling some of my slightly anxious start-of-the-year energy towards some good things. As well as this- as always- I'm reflecting on the little pockets of happiness which I've been able to carve out lately:

Dress- c/o Hush
Waistcoat- April meets October (via Nola Boutique)
Boots- Lowa

How lovely is this Hush dress? I won it (I know!) via Hush's Instagram page at the start of November, and couldn't resist taking it out for a socially-distanced spin around RHS Wisley before the weather turned too chilly (and before the restrictions changed.) It goes without saying that I love the style and the print is perfect too- it's also going to be a wonderful piece for the spring and summer too. Here I layered it underneath a new favourite in the shape of this April meets October sheepskin vest from Nola Boutique which has proved to be perhaps the ultimate cosy winter wonder- in fact, I love it so much that it's become a staple part of my at home wardrobe too!

Have you picked up any new favourites recently?
